UnderSlide
Privacy notice
Last updated: July 30, 2026
This notice explains how UnderSlide handles information when you use the website and private learning workspace. It covers the current product and will be updated when payment, additional providers, or new data uses are introduced.
Information we process
We process information needed to provide and secure the service.
- Account information supplied through sign-in, such as email address and display name.
- Lecture files, converted page images, extracted text, explanations, edits, annotations, and question history.
- Operational records such as upload status, generation timing, model usage, errors, security events, and credit activity.
- Basic device and request information needed for authentication, abuse prevention, diagnostics, and service reliability.
How information is used
Information is used to authenticate you, process lecture material, generate and save learning content, restore edits, answer support requests, prevent abuse, measure reliability, and maintain the service.
UnderSlide does not turn private user uploads into a public lecture library and does not sell personal information.
AI and file processing
Lecture pages and relevant context may be sent to contracted AI or file-processing providers to perform the feature you request. The applicable provider and processing region can vary by production route.
UnderSlide minimizes the material sent for each task and does not intentionally place API credentials or unrelated account data in model prompts. AI output is treated as untrusted until parsed and checked by the service.
Service providers and international transfers
UnderSlide uses infrastructure, authentication, storage, monitoring, and AI providers to operate the service. Those providers process data under their own security and contractual commitments.
Because students and providers may be in different countries, information can be processed outside your country. Where required, UnderSlide will add the applicable transfer disclosures or safeguards before expanding a route.
Retention and deletion
Learning files and content are retained while needed to provide the account and are removed when the associated deck or account is validly deleted, subject to short-lived backups, security records, dispute handling, and records that must be kept by law.
Signed media links are short-lived. Temporary provider files are removed after processing when the provider route supports that operation.
Your choices and rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, or information about processing by contacting UnderSlide. Applicable rights depend on where you live. Identity verification may be required before a request is completed.
Security and children
UnderSlide uses access controls, private storage paths, encrypted transport, scoped credentials, and owner-level data checks. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
The service is designed for university study and is not directed to children under 13. Users who cannot legally consent in their location must use the service only with appropriate guardian authorization.
